Glenn and Becky Haveman ran the Whiteland Orchard for many years and have raised their kids and grandkids in this community. They are passionate about helping this next generation of farmers. This scholarship will take over one of the Pathways to the Future Scholarships from Clark-Pleasant Education Foundation. This scholarship is for those going into the field of agriculture and the applicant must have competed in FFA or 4H.
The Pathways to the Future Scholarship is sponsored by the Clark-Pleasant Education Foundation (CPEF) and is funded by contributions from local businesses, community members, alumni and the faculty-staff of the Clark-Pleasant Community School Corporation.
Eligibility: College-bound Whiteland Community High School seniors are eligible to apply for Pathways to the Future scholarships in two categories:
Two-Year Focus: $1,000 one year, renewable scholarship.Intended for students who plan to pursue an associate degree or career certification at a two-year college or technical school.
Four-Year Focus: $1,000 one year, renewable scholarship. Intended for students who plan to pursue a bachelor degree at a state or private four-year university. If a student completes their bachelor degree in three years and enrolls immediately in graduate school, CPEF will apply the fourth year to that program.
